The RCOG was one of the first Colleges to have its curriculum for run-through training approved by PMETB (merged with GMC in 2010), and the training programme has clear milestones and opportunities for personal career development. The RCOG is committed to recruitment and retention, to supporting the clinical learning environment, and to supporting its members. Coordination of the application process into obstetrics and gynaecology is delegated to the RCOG. All recruitment to ST1 posts is managed through the use of the recruitment website, which can be found at https://obsjobs.rcog.org.uk/. This system allows candidates to apply directly to one LETB/deanery. All candidates that pass longlisting for ST1 posts will be guaranteed an interview. Vacancies will be available in all LETBs/deaneries in England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland. For full details please see the recruitment website (which will be updated with the relevant information in October/November 2013). Person specifications for obstetrics and gynaecology are available on the Specialty Training website http://specialtytraining.hee.nhs.uk/

Please note that in 2013/14, we will only recruit to ST1 posts via the national harmonised system. Please also note that offers from all specialties will be made via the UK Offers system.
