SPECIALTY REGISTRAR (LAT) IN LEARNING DISABILITIES
Fixed term for six months in the first instance
Applications are invited for the above Locum Appointment for Training Specialty Registrar 4 post available within the Aberdeen Psychiatric Service based at Elmwood, Royal Cornhill Hospital, Aberdeen. This is a whole time post but any candidate who is unable for personal reasons to work full time will be eligible to be considered. This post is available from 1st June 2008 for six months in the first instance, but could be extended up to nine months or a year. This post offers an excellent opportunity for training and development. The appointee will be allocated a named Educational Supervisor during their Locum Appointment for Training placement. There are opportunities for involvement in Undergraduate and Postgraduate teaching, research and audit. Applicants must possess MRCPsych (pass in Parts I/II) or recognised equivalent by time of application. The Postgraduate Dean confirms that this placement and/or programme has the required educational and dean’s approval. However, Locum Appointments for Training do not entitle the appointees to a National Training Number. This post is open primarily to applicants who do not require a work permit to take up employment in the UK.
