Profile
The Yorkshire Deanery and South Yorkshire and South Humber Deanery have recently merged to become the Yorkshire and the Humber Postgraduate Deanery. Training is based in 3 localities, each incorporating a medical school - Leeds/Bradford in the West, Hull/York in the East, Sheffield in the South and includes other District General Hospitals throughout the region. To maximise training opportunities programmes may involve working in more than one locality. Currently we have approximately 3,900 trainees in specialty training.

Key personnel
The Postgraduate Dean is Professor Sarah Thomas who is based in the
Deanery Headquarters, Willow Terrace Road, Leeds, with the General
Manager, Fran Mead. The new Deanery consists of three locality offices:
South Yorkshire, based at Don Valley House in Sheffield, West Yorkshire
(based at Willow Terrace Road in Leeds) and North and East Yorkshire
and Northern Lincolnshire, which is temporarily based at East Villa, York.
There are three Deputy Deans, one for each locality:
South Yorkshire - Dr Peter Taylor
West Yorkshire - Mr David Wilkinson
North and East Yorkshire and Northern Lincolnshire - Dr David Eadington
