Public Health England (PHE) is an executive agency of the Department of Health providing strategic leadership, research, advice and support for Government, local authorities and the NHS in protecting and improving the nation’s health.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the well-established Thames Valley Public Health England Centre. You will be working with an experienced team to deliver effective health protection services across the Thames Valley (Berkshire, Oxfordshire, and Buckinghamshire).
This is a full time substantive post for a CCDC/Consultant in Health Protection. The role involves working in a multi-disciplinary team with strong links to partner organisations. You will be a team player with a passion for health protection and a keenness to contribute to the full range of health protection work offered by the Centre. You will undergo a programme of ongoing development and education to build on existing knowledge and develop skills to provide specialist health protection advice and meet competencies required to undertake the role.
Candidates must be included on the GMC Register or UK Public Health Register. The successful candidate will be appointed at the point of Consultant salary scale appropriate to their years of seniority or, if from a background other than medicine, to the NHS Agenda for Change Band 8d.
