Chief Executive Officer

An interesting and challenging opportunity now exists for a proven
business leader and manager.

BMA represents over 150,000 doctors and medical students as a trade
union and professional association. BMA uses its professional expertise,
insight, knowledge and the collective power of its membership, to
support and guide doctors throughout all stages of their careers, and to
support the delivery of better health outcomes for the public. For more
information go to

The incoming Chief Executive will be an individual who can provide
unifying leadership to the organisation, working in conjunction with
Elected Chief Officers, and the Council, to advance the interests of the
association and its membership. There are over 500 doctors nationwide,
who regularly volunteer their time to support and advance the
association and an executive and administrative workforce of over 500
dedicated and hardworking colleagues, responsible for the detailed dayto-
day delivery of the policies, membership benefits and goals of the
association, so outstanding organisational and communication skills will
be required.

To be the successful candidate you will need to demonstrate that you are
an accomplished business leader and manager, who can embrace
complex challenges and has the strategic and financial expertise to run
a significant business. You will require well developed interpersonal skills
to work closely with a range of stakeholders and the empathy to be
effective within a democratic culture. An interest in healthcare and the
wider public sector will be an advantage, and you may well have
experience of public service, or membership organisations.

The role will be based in central London, but regular travel around the
UK will be required.

An attractive remuneration package will reflect the seniority and
responsibilities of the role and the experience of the individual.

Please apply in writing or by email to The Inzito Partnership. Enclosing
an up to date CV and tell us about yourself and why this role is of interest.
