place for you. Leading the Specialist Public Health function, you will
deliver programmes to improve the health of the population, protect
residents from communicable disease and other health threats and
deliver effective and efficient health and social care services.

And as the lead for public health commissioning, you will ensure that
services are: based on expert public health evidence, procured cost
effectively to create better health outcomes; build alliances across
the Council and its partners to align the Council’s activity towards
public health goals; and ensure that expert public health leadership
and services are provided to Clinical Commissioning Groups and
other key partners.

You will help to elevate the reputation of Public Health among key
audiences to a high level. In doing so, you demonstrate personal
initiative, comprehension, judgement and the ability to think tactically
and strategically.
