Clinical Senior Lecturer (Honorary Consultant) in Primary Care

DEPARTMENT OF PRIMARY CARE AND PUBLIC HEALTH SCIENCES, DIVISION OF HEALTH AND SOCIAL CARE RESEARCH

The Division of Health and Social Care Research comprises 50 Principal Investigators working as part of an Academic Health Sciences Centre. The exceptional range of academic research reflect the disciplinary richness of the College as a whole, from clinical strengths in primary care and public health to disciplinary expertise in management, health policy, gerontology, psychology, social work and social studies of science.

The Division is seeking to appoint an experienced general practitioner clinical researcher on an indefinite basis, with a strong background in multidisciplinary practice-based clinical research projects, including randomised controlled trials or prospective diagnostic studies.

King’s College London is an excellent place to conduct primary care research, as both an active network of research practices (via South London Clinical Research Network) and excellent translational research capacity (via the Biomedical Research Centre) are well established. Clinical Academic staff hold honorary contracts with Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Trust, which hosts the Clinical Research Network and Biomedical Research Centre. Extensive multidisciplinary support in statistics, epidemiology, informatics, psychology and social science are available as well as excellent links with high quality specialist research via the King’s Health Partners Academic Health Science Centre.
