NHS Professionals’ core value and overriding objective is to maintain and improve clinical standards in the provision of care to patients. Central to this objective are the functions and activities of the Medical Advisory Group (MAG) which will regularly review and advise on the Clinical Governance of the NHS Professionals’ locum doctor service.
We are looking to recruit experienced clinicians to join our advisory group. Doctors must have a Primary Medical Qualification and a current Licence to Practise with experience at Consultant level or equivalent. A broad spectrum of expertise is sought to cover specialties in obstetrics and gynaecology, medicine, surgery, paediatrics, psychiatry and anaesthetics.
Members of the Advisory Group will be required to attend regular meetings and will be called upon to review all aspects of our Clinical Governance arrangements. The MAG will report to the Clinical Governance Committee through the Medical Director of NHS Professionals.
NHS Professionals is a Limited Company wholly owned by the Secretary of State for Health. Successful applicants will be eligible to join the NHS Professionals’ Pension Scheme.
