Clinical Research Fellow

Full time, fixed term for 34 months

We are looking for an outstanding highly motivated Clinical Research Fellow to join the Hypertension Microcirculation Research Group at St George’s, University of London (Dr Tarek Antonios, Professor Isaac Manyonda, Dr Donovan Duffy). The principal role of the post holder is to organize, coordinate and conduct the activities of the G-CROS project, a three four months study funded by the British Heart Foundation that aims to investigate the role of the microcirculation in the pathogenesis of hypertension.

The fellow will be directly supervised by Dr Tarek Antonios, Senior Lecturer & Consultant Physician in Cardiovascular and General medicine. The fellow will gain experience in intravital microscopy, the management of hypertension, clinical trial design and some laboratory techniques. The research should lead to an PhD/MD degree. The applicant must have the ability to work flexible hours and be able to work both as part of a team and independently.

Applicants must be clinically qualified to at least ST1 paediatrics level.

The salary for this appointment will be £33,463 per annum, inclusive. Please note that, as research funding is of a fixed and limited nature this is the maximum starting salary for this post.
