GP job in Gore, South Island, New Zealand

As a full time GP you will see on average 20 patients per day with approximately 15 minute appointments. It would be preferable to have experience with emergency medicine. Competitive remuneration package of up to NZ$240,000; accommodation and relocation assistance to be negotiated.

This is a small, modern community owned practice with a patient register of 3,500. To assist with the smooth running of the practice it is staffed with one receptionist, four practice nurses, three GPs and a practice manager. The practice is open from 8.30am to 5.30pm weekdays.

Gore lays on the Mataura River and is surrounded by farmland and forestry. It’s internationally known for trout fishing. Gore has all the amenities you could think off including good shopping, cafés, library, museum, art gallery housing the Mooney collection, a new multi sports complex with fitness, swimming, hydrotherapy and ice skating facilities, and a golf course.
