A CAREER AS A RAF

REHABILITATION AND RHEUMATOLOGY DOCTOR

in the Royal Air Force


In the RAF, you may be employed at the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre (DMRC) Headley Court. As part of this high profile team,you would provide clinical rehabilitation and support to personnel in order to get them fit for their operational role. You may also act in an advisory capacity in order to achieve optimallevels of health and fitness to personnel in not only the RAF, but the Army and Royal Navy.

Our Rehab and Rheumatology specialists are pivotal in the rehabilitation of serving personnel who are undergoing recovery from injury or illness, some of whom have been Aeromedically Evacuated from theatres of operation and whom require intensive support.

You may also work in one of 15 Primary Care Rehabilitation Facilities (PCRFs) which are located within military establishments around the UK. These PCRFs serve to enhance the continuing health care of Service personnel, in order to maximise the output of our men and women in support of the UK Defence Mission.
