Public Health Consultant in Healthcare Public Health

£65,922 - £101,451 per annum

Full time 10 Programmed Activities (PAs) or 37.5 hours per week (applicants for part time, job share or flexible working will be considered) (Post suitable for both Consultant Medical and Dental and Non-Medical AfC Band 8d Appointment)

It will achieve this through the application of research, knowledge and skills. Public Health England is an executive agency of the Department of Health. It is a distinct delivery organisation with operational autonomy to advise and support Government, local authorities and the NHS in a professionally independent manner.

The organisation is seeking to appoint a Public Health Consultant in Healthcare Public Health in London, to be responsible for driving improvements in outcomes and reducing inequalities in health across the population through creating and delivering a cost effective vision for public health in collaboration with three NHS England Area Teams and 33 local authorities.

Candidates must be included on the GMC Specialist Register/ GDC Specialist List or UK Public Health Register.

The successful candidates will be appointed to the point of the Consultant salary scale appropriate to their years of seniority or if from a background other than medicine to NHS Agenda for Change Band 8d.
