Call for applications for NIHR In-practice Fellowships - 2014

Applications are invited for National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) In-practice Fellowship awards. The scheme - funded by the NIHR Trainees Co-ordinating Centre (NIHR TCC) - is part of the Integrated Academic Training (IAT) programme set up to improve career pathways for Researchers in both medicine and dentistry.

The NIHR In-practice Fellowships form part of the Integrated Academic Training (IAT) portfolio and are designed to provide support for fully-qualified General Practitioners and General Dental Practitioners and Community Dentists who have outstanding potential for development as a Researcher and/or Educationalist.

The Fellowships will provide part-funding for the basic salary (50%), which will allow the Practitioner to have protected time to develop academic skills and, where appropriate, complete a Master’s degree. Funding for each NIHR In-practice Fellowship is available for a maximum of two years.
