NHS Basildon and Brentwood CCG
NHS Basildon and Brentwood CCG are keen to recruit to three key roles – a secondary care doctor on the Governing Body and two Clinical Advisers (one specialising in Cancer and the other in Stroke/CHD). The successful individuals will inspire public confidence and have the right drive and expertise to help them develop the CCG as a clinically-led organisation.
Secondary Care Doctor on the Governing Body
You will be a registered doctor with secondary care experience, or a retired consultant (within the last 10 years). The successful candidate will bring a broader view on health and care issues to underpin the work of the CCG. You will have no conflicts of interest (i.e. you will not be employed by any organisation from which the CCG’s commission any significant volume of provision).
The time commitment for the role is a minimum of one day per month (equivalent to two sessions). Remuneration will be negotiable depending on personal circumstances.
Clinical Advisers (Cancer and Stroke/CHD)
The post holders will take the clinical lead in delivering improvements in utilisation of resource, quality and patient experience for the services in their remit.
The expected time commitment includes an estimated 4 x 3 hour sessions per month, to include preparation and attendance at the Clinical Executive Group, writing reports and responding to queries throughout the month. These posts will be for a one-year fixed term in the first instance.
Applicants should have an NHS position in a related specialty at Registrar or Consultant level at an NHS organisation with which the CCG does not have a direct contractual relationship. This includes Acute, Mental Health or Community Service providers in Essex or North East London.
