LANCASHIRE CARE NHS FOUNDATION TRUST
CONSULTANT IN PUBLIC HEALTH
SALARY NHS CONSULTANT PAYSCALE or AGENDA FOR CHANGE BAND 8D
5 PA or 18.75 hours per week
Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust (LCFT) is one of the largest providers of community and mental health services in Lancashire. Many parts of the population that LCFT serve experience high levels of deprivation where health inequalities remain a significant challenge. At the same time, some communities are aging quickly and other diverse communities present a range of needs. It is for this reason that LCFT is committed to developing public health in the organisation to embed preventative approaches and use public health knowledge and expertise in all aspects of its work.
We are looking to appoint a highly motivated Consultant in Public Health who is able to take on the innovative role of leading approaches within the organisation that can have a positive impact on population health within the back drop service transformation. This senior public health appointment will develop new ways of working across the organisation in order to meet the Board’s core strategic objectives. You will have direct access to Board members through the Medical Director and Director of Transformation, and will work across the organisation to embed the prevention agenda into service delivery and support sustainable pathways that meet the demographic and health needs across Lancashire.
If you require any further information, please contact Professor Max Marshall, Medical Director, on 01772 695307.
Please apply via www.jobs.nhs.uk Reference number: 351-MED30. The closing date is 16th February 2014. Interviews will be held on 13th March 2014.
