EPSRC-MRC funded PhD Fellowships in Regenerative Medicine
Applications are invited from Clinicians for a 3-year PhD in Regenerative Medicine
Regenerative Medicine develops therapies for ageing, Degenerative and injury-related Pathologies. Our recently opened Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) is the only such centre in the UK, funded jointly by the MRC and EPSRC, and provides multidisciplinary training across the spectrum of Regenerative Medicine. The Centre integrates elements of Bioengineering, Nanotechnology and Biomaterials, Stem cell Biology, Extracellular Matrix and Inflammation, Translational Gene/Cell Therapies and Tissue engineering on a state-of-the-art biomedical campus allied to NIHR Clinical Research Facilities.
This competition for MRC/EPSRC-funded PhD Fellowship awards is for clinical trainees who want to come out of programme for 3 years to complete a PhD and for whom Regenerative Medicine is an important and exciting component of their chosen specialty.
The deadline for applications is Monday, 17th February 2014 for programmes starting in October 2014.
UK applicants are eligible if they have been resident in the UK for at least 3 years prior to starting the course. European Union nationals who have been resident in the UK for at least 3 years prior to starting the award are also eligible.
