Associate Director – Public Health and Public Protection
£94,076 to £103,711
In Wiltshire, our position is a simple one. People and communities, rather than structures or individual services are at the heart of our model for public health.
In Wiltshire we are committed to improving health outcomes and reducing health inequalities. Our innovative model for health and well-being is integrating public health at the centre of all public services in Wiltshire – can you help us achieve this?
For this role we are looking for a public health professional who will lead, manage and develop a range of public health and protection services including public health (health improvement & protection, clinical quality & effectiveness and occupational health & safety) and public protection, (food and health & safety, consumer protection and animal health, environment protection and control and community protection).
We will expect you to have extensive knowledge of the broad public health agenda and what skill set each professional element brings to the whole. You will also need a clear understanding of the impact this new co-ordinated service can have in delivering local priorities and objectives.
To apply for this role you will need to be qualifi ed as a public health specialist and on the GMC, GDC or UKPHR specialist register.
In return you’ll join a dynamic team which offers opportunities for professional and career development and whose talents are already making a difference across the organisation as our new model takes effect.
