This new full time post is designed to develop, promote and conduct high quality clinically-based research in community and/or primary care mental health. You will have an Honorary Clinical Contract with South Staffordshire and Shropshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, whilst the research base will be in the Institute for Primary Care and Health Sciences Research at Keele University. You will bring psychiatry leadership to support expansion of the Keele/NHS research partnership, and bring new approaches to developing interventions and packages of care to optimise community-based management of people with co-morbid mental and physical long-term health conditions.

The job plan for the post will include 6 PAs per week to pursue clinical research, 2 PAs for clinical work with 2 supporting PAs to underpin CPD and other professional activities. Extra PAs may be available, subject to negotiation.

You will hold a CCT in Adult Psychiatry or equivalent, a higher research degree and have a successful track record of peer reviewed publications and grant income.
