Clinical Academic Colleague - Neonatologist

The University of Alberta, Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, in partnership with Alberta Health Services, is inviting applications for Neonatologists to join the Department of Paediatrics in the Edmonton Zone, Alberta Health Services.

The Northern Alberta Neonatal Programme, providing newborn services to Northern and Central Alberta, invites applications for Clinician-Scientist in Neonatology and/or Neonatal Resuscitation. Successful candidates will have completed Neonatal Fellowship Training and will have FRCP(C) or equivalent qualifications in Paediatrics, and will be expected to meet eligibility for licensure in the Province of Alberta.

The successful applicant will have clinical service and on-call responsibilities at a combination of level III and/or II nurseries. A teaching commitment is mandatory. Neonatologists are expected to develop a balance of clinical, academic and administrative responsibilities. Successful applicants will be encouraged to apply for a Clinical Academic Colleague appointment in the Department of Paediatrics, University of Alberta, which will be considered under a separate process through the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry. Significant research, educational, or administrative experience or expertise would be an advantage. Starting salary is commensurate with level of Fellowship Training and experience.
