Clinical Project Lead

Thames Valley Emergency Care Strategy Group

The Thames Valley LETB is seeking to appoint to the post of Clinical Lead on the Thames Valley Emergency Care Strategy Group.

This exciting opportunity, which is for 4 PAs/week for 2 years, is open to all Consultants in Emergency Care working in Thames Valley, or within reasonable travelling distance.

Thames Valley LETB recently hosted a conference where work of the local EM Task Force was discussed. Delegates helped develop an agenda for the way forward for TV in identifying solutions to the challenges faced by all healthcare providers in delivering high quality urgent and emergency care. As a result the following four project streams have been established, each under the guidance of a project leader.

Development of the existing medical workforce
Development of multi-professional and interdisciplinary workforce
Development of common clinical pathways within and across organisations
Strategies to enhance recruitment and retention of trainees in Emergency Medicine

The role of the Clinical Project Lead will be to oversee and support all four project groups, to support collaborative working between the groups and to report regularly to the stakeholder group overseeing this project. In addition to this work the postholder would be supported to attend relevant national meetings, which focus on the Emergency Medicine Workforce, and to liaise with other LETBs and their EM Clinical Leads.
