Medical Officer (Womens Team)
Part time role
The Football Association is looking for a part time Medical Officer for the England Women’s team to join the Performance Services team at The FA.
The purpose of this role is to act as Team Doctor to the England Women’s Senior Team, coordinate the medical care for the women’s teams and also support the Head of Medical Services with completion of medical administration duties as required.
Based at either Wembley or St George’s Park the role is part time working an average of 3 days a week, although this will be flexible to include time working away with the team.
Successful candidates must possess the following:
Full Registered and licensed to practice by the GMC
An MSc or Diploma in SEM
Fellowship (preferably), or Membership of the Faculty of SEM
Experience in looking after elite athletes in the team setting
Experience of travelling with teams, and advising on travel and environmental issues, as well as immunisation and other medical issues and strategies where necessary
Able to work closely with highly motivated coaching staff and deliver information on player availability promptly and efficiently
A network of other trusted health professionals who can be called upon to deliver care if and when needed.
Able to work under pressure
