Clinical Academic Training Fellows
The appointment will be full time on the UCL Clinical Training Fellow - Speciality Training Registrar Grade. The salary range will be £34,672 - £42,527 per annum, depending on skills and experience, inclusive of London Allowance.
If you’re a Paediatrics trainee and want to make a difference to child and adolescent health through clinical or population research and innovation, we’d like to hear from you.
In your 4 year post, you would work with senior academics at the internationally renowned UCL Institute of Child Health to undertake a mix of research and clinical work leading to either a PhD or an MD. We would also welcome applicants already holding a doctorate who wish to pursue post-doctoral studies.
We currently have two opportunities, one working with Professor Russell Viner (Professor of Adolescent Health) and one with Dr Alastair Sutcliffe (Reader in General Paediatrics).
The posts are initially funded for 4 years.
Applicants must have MRCPCH/MRCP or equivalent and be prepared to undertake a higher research degree. Applicants must be in possession of, or be eligible to apply for, a National Training Number (NTN) in Paediatrics. Candidates must have completed a NLS/PALS/APLS Provider course (or equivalent).
The candidates must have an interest in research and attending scientific meetings. Experience of teaching undergraduates and postgraduates is essential. The candidates must have evidence of basic management skills and of involvement in multi-disciplinary audits.
