ADULT VACCINOLOGY

Salary: £30,992-£44,856 per annum
The Centre for Clinical Vaccinology and Tropical Medicine, conducts Adult Clinical Vaccine Trials under the direction of Professor Andrew Pollard, Dr Brian Angus, and Dr Matthew Snape. The Vaccine Studies are primarily conducted in the Clinical Outpatient facility at the Centre for Clinical Vaccinology and Tropical Medicine, at the Churchill Hospital.
 We are seeking an enthusiastic Clinical Research Fellow to join our established Adult Research Team to work on Vaccine Trials, including some using a Human Model of Typhoid Infection. The studies are expected to lead to publications and include opportunities for the suitable candidate to study for a higher degree. If the candidate is interested pursuing dedicated Research, he/she will be given the opportunity and encouragement to seek further independent funding and develop a Clinical or Laboratory based project.
 You must be a General Medical Council (GMC) Registered Medical Practitioner. This post would be especially beneficial to Trainees pursuing a career in General Microbiology, Infectious Diseases, or Immunology, but also suitable for Trainees in any other Specialty including General Practice, or on completion of Core Training. This post is for 12 months in the first instance, but has the potential to be extended based on the availability of further funding.
