Two new exciting opportunities have arisen in the Medical Affairs department of AbbVie, a global, research-based biopharmaceutical company formed in 2013, following separation from Abbott. These roles would suit entrepreneurial and commercially aware physicians who are either therapeutically aligned or experienced medical advisors in the therapy areas outlined above


Senior Medical Advisor Hepatitis C (130000003C) This position in a newly created Medical Affairs team is to provide scientific and clinical support to establish AbbVie in the therapeutic field of Hepatitis C and to plan and execute engagement and medical launch plans for a new treatment in this area. Launch experience would be advantageous.

Senior Medical Advisor Speciality Products Division (12000002WE) This role is ideal for an experienced Medical Affairs physician, to support well established products in the areas of HIV, Anesthesia and Paediatric RSV. The key objectives of the role would be to maintain existing relationships with key opinion leaders and academic centres in response to clinical interest, as well as building
advocacy for the brands. The successful candidate would also ensure that the evidence-based for these products are reviewed and updated regularly, working with the medical and commercial in-field teams to ensure continued success in these areas.


Successful candidates would be fully registered GMC physicians, with a minimum of 2 years clinical experience post-registration. However, any CVs that provide evidence of relevant experience may be considered.
