Medical Director - Clinical Oncology - two days per week

Circa £80,000 p.a. plus executive package

Cancer Partners UK was founded in order to help transform the delivery of Cancer Care in the UK by providing innovative and dynamic services for Cancer patients and their families.

We operate five image guided Radiotherapy treatment centres with a further three due to open by the end of 2013. Future centres will also incorporate Chemotherapy and imaging suites as well as a dedicated area for complimentary therapy and counselling services.

All centres deliver 100% IMRT for radical plans and IGRT with every fraction and we are developing a range of technical innovations in order to provide our patients with the very best treatment options.

Our stand-alone outpatient centres deliver Radiotherapy and Chemotherapy in a comfortable environment and are easily accessible for patients. Although most of our patients have private medical insurance we are also able to assist local NHS providers and already treat NHS patients at one of our centres.

With ambitious plans to become the UK’s leading independent private Cancer Care provider, Cancer Partners UK now seeks a Medical Director to help lead the company to the next level. Ideally working within the NHS as a Consultant Clinical Oncologist, and with experience across several tumour sites, you will recognise the importance of exceptional patient care and choice. The complex inter-relationship between NHS and private care in both Radiotherapy and Chemotherapy will be a new organisational challenge. You will share our passion for teamwork and the desire to make a difference to the treatment of Cancer within the UK.

You will be an enthusiastic and dynamic leader who can actively promote clinical excellence, patient safety, audit and medical education for Consultants and other medical professionals. As part of the executive team at Cancer Partners UK, you will contribute to the strategic direction of our organisation. You will have a flair for innovation and be willing to implement new pathways of care, leading to improved outcomes and outstanding patient satisfaction.

The post can be based from anywhere in the UK and will involve some travel.
