If effecting change on a larger scale is part of your career plan, here is the opportunity to advance Academic and Clinical Programmes on multiple fronts with three world-class institutions. As Chair of the Department of Medicine at Western University’s Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry, your experience and insight will underpin the creation of an all-encompassing strategic vision for the future. You will also assume a Senior Medical leadership position at two Academic Health Sciences Centres: the London Health Sciences Centre; and at St. Joseph’s Healthcare, to extend your strategic academic vision into a Clinical environment.
The Department of Medicine at the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry has 175 members, 15 Academic Divisions, and $30 million in annual research expenditures. Its globally recognised Researchers are active in both Clinical and Basic Research at the Hospitals, and their affiliated Research Institutes. Through its focus on Excellence in Research and Education, the Department has created advanced programmes in Experimental Medicine and Centres of Excellence in Translational and Patient Oriented Research. The Hospitals, which have a total of 1,100 inpatient beds on four sites, provide a full range of Inpatient and Ambulatory Services to the City of London and South-western Ontario, serving a population of more than 1.5 million.
Along with your credentials in a Senior Medical leadership role and record in Research, Patient Care, Teaching, and Academic leadership, you are an accomplished Clinician (with FRCPC certification or equivalent) and are eligible for licensure in Ontario.
