This is an outstanding opportunity for a clinical academic to join a leading infectious diseases unit and make a critical contribution to the shaping of infectious disease research at The University of Sheffi eld. We are seeking a clinician scientist who can lead a high quality independent research programme and also shape the wider research area of infectious diseases in Sheffi eld. This appointment is occurring as part of a major initiative in infectious diseases, the Florey Centre for Microbial Pathogenesis, which is being formed at the University. In addition, there will be a number of academic and research posts to be appointed, where the successful candidate can play a major role in recruitment and research strategy. We are seeking an exceptional individual, with an independent research programme and relevant expertise. You should hold full registration with the General Medical Council and MRCP (or equivalent).
