PALLIATIVE CARE POSITIONS
The Department of Psychosocial Oncology and Palliative Care at UHN, affiliated with the University of Toronto, is currently seeking academic Medical Staff for its Palliative Care Programme. These positions will be at the expanding clinical and academic programmes of the Toronto Western and the Toronto General Hospitals, and may include providing inpatient consultations, developing outpatient clinics and working in a 10-bed residential Hospice. We are currently recruiting for two positions, one starting in July 2013 and one in January 2014, in the following categories:
Clinician-Teacher: Palliative Care Physician with expertise in Palliative Careeducation, and eligible for an academic appointment at the University of Toronto. This individual should be able to contribute to the development and delivery of Palliative Care education for multidisciplinary staff at Postgraduate and Undergraduate levels.
Clinician-Investigator: Palliative Care Physician with Research Training and experience relevant to the field of Palliative Care. This individual should have an established research programme and/or be able to contribute to current research groups. The applicant should be eligible for academic appointment to the University of Toronto and to the research institute at UHN.
