Clinical Editor

£Competitive + benefits Central London, WC1

The BMJ Evidence Centre wishes to recruit a Clinical Editor to join the busy team, supporting the production of our class-leading evidence tools such as Clinical Evidence, Best Practice and other innovative resources in the BMJ Evidence Centre portfolio.

As one of the world’s most respected medical publishers, BMJ Group products aim to improve the quality of healthcare by supporting doctors and patients and ensuring that healthcare is based on the best available evidence. As a member of the BMJ Evidence Centre clinical team, you’ll enjoy working in a highly collaborative and creative environment, and your role will involve applying your clinical insight and expertise across the range of our products to ensure the quality and relevance of our content.

Holding a medical degree, ideally postgraduate qualifications, and with excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, you will have experience and knowledge of evidence-based medicine, and display an understanding and appreciation of the need for evidence across healthcare. You should be able to appraise published evidence, and be able to deliver high-quality work to deadline. A strong clinical orientation plus a pragmatic and innovative approach will be important, as well as a commitment to ensure that our content is clinically focused, safe, and rigorous in order to meet the needs of clinicians or patients at the point of care. You’ll be comfortable working in an interesting multidisciplinary environment and also liaising with external contributors or specialists as required.
