Director, National Chlamydia Screening Programme (Post suitable for both Consultant Medical and Non-Medical AfC Band 8d Appointment) £65,270 - £100,446 per annum Colindale 10 programmed activities (PA’s) or 37.5 hours per week (Job share, part time or flexible working also considered) Permanent

The Director leads the national co-ordination and facilitation of the National Chlamydia Screening Programme (NCSP).

You will manage a dedicated NCSP team of scientific, technical and administrative staff in the HIV & STI Department at the National Centre for Infectious Disease Surveillance and Control. As Director, you will lead on the development and oversight of NCSP-related surveillance, monitoring and evaluation activities. In partnership with sexual health leads in the 15 PHE Centres and with Local Authority Public Health Departments, you will ensure communication and the dissemination of fi ndings to relevant professional groups and the general public. You will be the ‘face of the programme’ and partake in media interviews as required and will be managerially responsible for the section budget.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead and develop the team facilitating and supporting the largest sexual health screening programme in Britain. The NCSP Director is a senior member of a strong group of experienced public health specialists at the forefront nationally and internationally of HIV & STI surveillance and prevention.
