Medical Director
NHS Consultant Salary Scale: £89,370 - £100,446
Plus Management Fee of £31,880 per annum

We have recently developed a strategic planning framework – A Healthier Future – setting out our strategic aims in support of delivery of the Scottish Government 2020 Vision. We seek
a Medical Director to further energise and drive delivery.
Reporting to and working closely with the Chief Executive and as an Executive Member of the Board you will provide professional, clinical and managerial leadership across a wide range of strategic and operational responsibilities.
The role of Medical Director is a pivotal position and will require you to apply expertise and influence in a number of key areas including Quality, Patient Safety, Clinical Governance, Integration and re-design of Clinical Services and Risk Management.
Applicants will have an extensive clinical background in Acute, Primary Care or Public Health medicine and will have strong credentials as a clinical leader working across primary and
secondary care and with strategic partners. You will be skilled in the management of complex and diverse situations and possess the interpersonal and negotiation skills required to operate and influence effectively in a politically sensitive environment.
