£13,000 pa

Western Sussex Hospitals NHS Trust has established an enviable reputation for delivering truly outstanding health services across its local health economy. Steadfast in their mission to design and deliver a pre-eminent, integrated healthcare service, they are on track to become a Foundation Trust by the summer of 2013.

You will join a flourishing organisation and as a Foundation Trust, they aim to enhance further their; sound financial position, vibrant culture and dedication to providing comprehensive, safe acute services for their population of around 450,000 people. This is a large, complex healthcare business with an income base of c£350 million and a 6,500 strong workforce, which are employed across three hospital sites. At an organisational level, the Trust is thriving on the focused strategic leadership its strong, business-led board and accomplished executive team provide. Working together, they enjoy a cohesive, dynamic and openly challenging relationship, clearly focussed on doing what is right and best for patients, every time.

Their primary goal now is to transform, where appropriate, existing care pathways y pioneering new approaches to delivering integrated services. This will improve effi ciency and ensure every patient experiences a seamless transition through primary, secondary, tertiary and community/social care, as required.

Providing a greater understanding of how this will be achieved, whilst enhancing the clinical challenge back through the organisation, you could make a visible difference by applying your clinical/medical expertise in a different way. You will be a GP, Nurse or other qualified health professional with proven senior management experience gained within a hospital, community, public health or social care setting. Experience has shown you how to; develop functional working
relationships across a wide range of professional areas; infl uence and effect change whilst constructively challenging an organisation; develop an organisation so that staff can deliver the very best services and; credibly engage with regional and national partners.

Therefore, you must demonstrate; clear strategic insight; successful track record of influencing and delivering change; a genuine passion for providing exceptional, patient-centred care and; sound independent judgement.
