Based at the Royal Infi rmary of Edinburgh, this 1-year post will commence from 07 August 2013.
You will contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching within Clinical Surgery. You will have completed Basic Surgical Training and hold a numbered specialist training post in general surgery. You will be encouraged to register for a Higher Degree with the University of Edinburgh and to apply for additional peer-reviewed funding.

MRI for Abdominal Aortic Aneurysms to predict Rupture or Surgery

Term: 3 years
We are looking to appoint a highly motivated, talented and ambitious clinical research fellow for 3 years to deliver an innovative magnetic resonance imaging clinical trial in patients with abdominal aortic aneurysms. If successful, you will work with a multidisciplinary team in a state-of-the-art Clinical Research Imaging Centre with the support of the UKCRN accredited Edinburgh Clinical Trials Unit.
Candidates will have an MRCP (or equivalent) and have clinical experience in Cardiology, Radiology or Vascular Surgery. You will have demonstrated clear research and academic potential, and will be seeking to obtain a higher postgraduate (PhD or MD) degree.
