KING'S COLLEGE LONDON
Wolfson Chair in General Practice
We are seeking to appoint an internationally-recognised and experienced General Practitioner clinical researcher to this prestigious, endowed Chair. You will have a strong background in multidisciplinary practice-based clinical research projects and will have the capacity and credibility to provide leadership in the discipline within King’s College London and beyond.
Following the establishment of King’s Health Partners and the move of Professor Brendan Delaney’s Medical Decision Making and Informatics Research Group to King’s, we are in the midst of an initiative to establish King’s College London as a major centre for practice-based clinical research.
Lambeth and Southwark Commissioning Groups, the King’s Health Partners’ Academic Health Science Centre, the South London Comprehensive Local Research Network and the Primary Care Research Network Greater London are working closely to increase research activity in local practices, underpinned by one of the first local pilots of the new NHS Research Information System. The expectation is that applicants to this prestigious Chair would bring a substantial volume of clinical research, at or equivalent to programme level.
We would welcome applications from clinical researchers who have a strong track record in Primary Care and Health Services Research, with training in general practice and a proven record of leadership.
We offer a competitive remuneration package of £70k and above, depending on skills and qualifications.
Further details and application packs are available on the College’s website at www.kcl.ac.uk/jobs
All correspondence should clearly state the job title and reference number SP/JLA/1290/12/SR.
