We are looking for an Ophthamology Registrar to join our friendly hospital from December 2011. There are four Ophthalmologists and one Medical Officer providing a full range of Elective and Acute Services to Northland.
As a Registrar, you will be responsible for the initial assessment, acute management and ongoing care of patients admitted to the Ophthalmology Unit. You will be required to attend the Emergency Department, Outpatient Clinics, and Operating Theatres as rostered by the senior staff.
It would be a position suitable for Senior House Offocers with a minimum of two years’ Postgraduate experience including 12 months of Ophthalmology specialty or for Middle/Senior Grade Registrar. You will need to have passed the ACLS course.
