The Sheffield Neuroscience Directorate seeks to appoint a Locum Consultant Neurologist for a period of six months. A candidate is sought to work with the existing Consultant Team in the continued development of the Neurology Department. The appointment is part of the Directorate’s strategy to improve the 18-week position, reduce waiting times in Doncaster and deliver an excellent Regional service. There is also scope to develop a special interest which is complementary to the existing portfolio.
The appointee will be expected to take part in Undergraduate and Postgraduate Teaching and Training. Applications from those unable, for personal reasons, to work on a whole time basis or a job share basis will be considered. The successful candidate must be registered with the General Medical Council (GMC) with a valid licence to practise in line with the introduction of revalidation on 16th November 2009.
