There might be any number of reasons why you make a deliberate decision to relocate - gaining experience that will take your career places, building a career that won’t see you pigeonholed professionally, looking for a lifestyle that offers more for you and your family or simply an adventure coupled with work.
Whatever the reason, we’ll make you welcome. Southland Hospital is a 181 bed, Secondary Care facility rebuilt in 2004. We’ve incredibly good facilities and equipment, and we’re benefiting from a strong emphasis on clinical governance – our services and working relationships across the hospital are reflective of it.

We’ve a 1.5T MRI Scanner, a 128 slice CT scanner (alongside X-ray, Mammography, Ultrasound and Nuclear Medicine capabilities). You’ll be experienced and have a focus on MRI but will report on other modalities. You must have completed your specialist training, and hold, or be eligible for, vocational registration with the Medical Council of NZ.
