Chair in Clinical Trials and Applied
Epidemiological Psychiatry

The appointment will be full time on the UCL Clinical Professor Grade. The appointment will be made at an appropriate point on the new Consultant Clinical Academic pay scale (currently £76,666 - £102,608 per annum inclusive of London Allowance) according to seniority.

The Mental Health Sciences Unit wishes to appoint an individual at Professorial level whose primary interest is in clinical trials and applied research in mental health. We are seeking a person who can capitalise on the strong links between mental health and neuroscience at UCL to develop a programme of treatment evaluation research.

The appointment is available from spring 2013.

Applicants must be clinician scientists who have either exceptional promise or an established research track record. A very strong publication record for their career stage, plus proven ability to obtain competitive funding at both national and international level, are essential. For an appointment at Professorial level, applicants must be able to demonstrate significant achievements in original research, a capacity for academic leadership, and an international reputation in the field of mental health research.
