Applications are invited for a fixed term, full time Consultant Urologist position at Dunedin Hospital. The fixed term will be up to 12 months, and is negotiable with the successful candidate.
In this role you will enjoy the benefits of working in a Tertiary Referral Centre whilst living in a unique and attractive lifestyle location. Dunedin Hospital is a 350-bed Teaching and Training Institution with strong links to the School of Medicine at Otago University. We offer a full complement of subspecialties, and we are a training site for the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Surgeons Integrated Training Programme.
It is an exciting time to join our Urology Service as we have recently appointed a Clinical Nurse Specialist, and Otago University is recruiting for a Chair in Urology. With the merger of Dunedin and Southland hospitals to form Southern DHB we also expect there to be opportunities to participate in the development of a regional service covering the lower South Island.
A requirement of the position is that you will have Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons or an equivalent qualification, enabling specialist (vocational) registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
