Surgical and Perioperative Services, Cairns Base Hospital, Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service.
Remuneration value up to $406 942 p.a., comprising salary between AU$180 787 - AU$191 675 p.a. (L25-L27) or Remuneration value up to AU$375 263 p.a., comprising salary between AU$151 177 - AU$175 602 p.a. (L18-L24) or AU$156.07 - AU$170.73 p.h. (VMS1-VMS4), employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Permanent Full Time or Part Time position. Applications will remain current for 12 months)
Duties/Abilities: Cairns is in the heart of the tropical north and is the primary gateway to northern Australia. This position will provide high quality Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery services within the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service. The provision of training, education and supervision of junior medical staff, and active contribution to the multidisciplinary patient care team is also required. Senior Staff Specialist or Staff Specialist with optional Clinical Director component
Cardiology Department, Division of Medicine, Aged Care and Emergency, Cairns Base Hospital, Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service.
Remuneration value up to $397 714 p.a., comprising salary between AU$176 377 - AU$187 000 p.a. (L25-L27) or Remuneration value up to AU$366 696 p.a., comprising salary between AU$147 491 - AU$171 318 (L18-L24) p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%), annual leave loading (17.5%), private use of fully maintained vehicle, communications package, professional development allowance, professional development leave 3.6 weeks p.a., professional indemnity cover, private practice arrangements plus overtime and on-call allowances. (Permanent full time position with optional temporary part time Clinical Director component for 3 years,

Duties/Abilities: Provide specialist cardiology services to the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service, ensuring appropriate, effective, efficient, safe clinical services maintaining contemporary standards. Provide leadership, coordination, integration and clinical governance of Cardiology service planning and delivery. Actively drive and coordinate continuous contemporary improvements through monitoring and analysing service delivery processes and outcomes.
Provide leadership and management to Cardiology staff and maintain a clinical load. Facilitate and manage academic, education, training and research opportunities that link with James Cook University and The Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
