Dunedin Hospital welcomes applications for the position of Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist.
In this diverse role you will be providing a full range of Obstetric and Gynaecological Care with an on-call component of 1:9. Our Service has approximately 1,800 births per year and covers a population of 180,000 people. Your duties will include regular Antenatal Clinics, Delivery Suite duties, and general Gynaecology inpatient and outpatient work. The position would suit a generalist with a subspecialty interest.
We have a close relationship with the Otago Medical School and, as we are a Teaching Hospital, you should be enthusiastic about passing on your knowledge and skills to our Undergraduate and Graduate trainees.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have an enthusiasm for teaching, be committed to quality service delivery and development, and be able to work effectively as a Senior Clinician within a Multidisciplinary Team. Fellowship with RANZCOG or the equivalent is essential, and you must be eligible for vocational registration with the NZ Medical Council.
