Applications are invited for the exciting new post of Consultant Physician in General Medicine with a specialist interest in Diabetes and Endocrinology, based at Heatherwood and Wexham Park Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. A particular emphasis of the post will be the development of a Multidisciplinary Foot Service in line with recent NICE recommendations.
Heatherwood and Wexham Park Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust provides Hospital services to a large and diverse population of over 400,000, which includes Ascot, Bracknell, Maidenhead, Slough, South Buckinghamshire, and Windsor.
The Trust delivers Medical, Surgical and Outpatient Services from its two main sites, Heatherwood Hospital in Ascot, and Wexham Park Hospital, 1.5 miles to the north of Slough, and manages Outpatient Services at four other satellite locations locally, including King Edward VII Hospital, Windsor, where the Diabetes Centre is located.
You will be based at Wexham Park Hospital, and share inpatient commitments with the existing Diabetes colleagues. You will also participate in the Medical On-call Rota, which is currently being redesigned. You should possess full General Medical Council (GMC) registration, MRCP (or equivalent) and either already be on the Specialist Register or be within six months of receiving your Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) at the time of interview.
