You should be an academic clinician with an emerging research track record in Public Health and experience of utilising routine or linked healthcare data. Applicants with interests in chronic diseases: obesity, cardiovascular, respiratory or renal disease are particularly welcome.
Applicants should be a Fellow of the Faculty of Public Health or its equivalent and be on the Specialist Register for Public Health. A postgraduate degree in Public Health, Epidemiology or other relevant topic is essential. A research track record with REF submittable publications, evidence of successful funding and excellence in teaching is required. A PhD or MD is desirable.
The successful applicant will be expected to carry out independent research through undertaking programmes of collaborative work with clinical and non-clinical colleagues in the University and the NHS. You will apply for external funding, build your own research group and play a role in teaching and educational development. The appointment will carry honorary consultant status, with appropriate clinical duties undertaken at NHS Grampian.
Salary: £74,504 - £100,446 per annum
