Postgraduate Dean for General Practice Education
(GP Dean)
IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT ELIGIBILITY AND POOLING ARRANGEMENTS
This role is a functional match to a Sender Organisation and as such recruitment is being managed in line with the National Policy and Process on Filling of Posts in Receiving Organisations. Priority will be given to candidates at 2d, then 3a, 3b, 4 and then 5 (open competition) with 2d given first preference and so on.
Responsible for:
The Postgraduate Dean for General Practice Education (GP Dean) will be responsible for supporting the Postgraduate Dean in setting the strategic direction and development of postgraduate medical and primary care healthcare professional education throughout the East Midlands.
The GP Dean will have a particular responsibility for expanding the capacity for training in Primary Care, and implementing extensions to GP training, and for developing and implementing innovative strategies to ensure delivery of high quality General Practice and primary care education and training in the East Midlands.
The successful candidate will be involved in the continued development of the East Midlands Local Education and Training Board (EMLETB).
