You will join a team investigating photoageing which is the result of longterm chronic exposure to solar ultraviolet radiation. This project comes with the opportunity to register for an MD (2 years full time) with the aim to gain a greater understanding of the phenotypic responses to skin exposure under solar ultraviolet radiation.

You will interrogate the occurrence and distribution of key extracellular matrix and inflammatory cell markers using a range of histological and molecular biological techniques to dissect out key features of these disparate phenotypes.

You will be responsible for many aspects of the project and will undertake research procedures both in volunteers in vivo and through laboratory investigations including immunohistochemical analyses.

You will hold an MB ChB or equivalent medical degree and have an understanding of human study logistics and aptitude for human research. You will have a clinical background that is relevant to the project.

The position is tenable until 30th September 2014.
