MRC Clinical Research Fellow

Fixed term from 1 April 2013 until 31 March 2016

£30,992 - £41,152 per annum

Location: Jessop Wing, Tree Root Walk

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a MRC funded project, under the Developmental Pathways Funding Scheme (DPFS), to develop a device for the prediction of premature birth, and undertake clinical experimental trials to determine its potential clinical utility. The project is a collaborative partnership between The University of Sheffi eld and the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

You will have a good honours degree in Medicine and Surgery, a minimum of two years’ experience as a trainee in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and will hold full registration with the General Medical Council. Experience of providing antenatal care to high risk pregnant women is desirable along with experience of basic research method and ultrasonography in obstetrics and gynaecology.
