Home Dialysis Therapies

University of Alberta

The Division of Nephrology at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Alberta, is pleased to offer a one-year combined Clinical and Research Fellowship in Home Dialysis Therapies (Peritoneal Dialysis and Home Haemodialysis). The Dialysis Therapies Programme at the University of Alberta includes approximately 60 home Haemodialysis patients and 200 Peritoneal Dialysis patients. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to enhance clinical skills in the selection and longitudinal care of Home Dialysis patients. They will concurrently complete research projects focusing on clinical outcomes in this patient population as well as quality improvement initiatives. They will additionally obtain valuable experience in Dialysis Programme administration, with the support of experienced Clinical and Research Mentors.

The applicant should have completed two years of training in a Royal College of Canada or equivalent Nephrology Residency Training Programme. Interested applicants should apply, with updated curriculum vitae and three letters of reference, to:
