Teaching Fellow in Urology
£29,705 - £46,708 per annum
This post is offered on a 12 months fixed-term basis and is suitable for a senior SHO/registrar.
UHCW NHS Trust is one of the largest Trusts in the country – employing around 6,000 staff and providing services for over 1 million people. It is the teaching hospital for Warwick Medical School and the Universities of Warwick and Coventry.
The post is designed to offer both clinical urology experience and timetabled sessions for the teaching of urology to undergraduates and foundation doctors. It is expected that you would register for one of the medical education qualifications offered by the University of Warwick (Postgraduate Certificate or Master of Medical Education) and participate in audit and clinical research.
You will also be required to participate in the middle grade oncall rota on a 1:6 non resident cover basis. Full GMC registration and membership of the Royal College of Surgeons is essential, together with clinical urological and endoscopic experience. You must be able to work well with colleagues and to relate to patients in an understanding and sympathetic manner.
