Hardwick Clinical Commissioning Group is currently advertising for Governing Body members.
There has never been a more exciting time to help shape how the NHS works in the North eastern Derbyshire area. Hardwick Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is part of the future structure of the NHS. We consist of 15 GP practices serving 102,000 patients stretching from Alfreton to Clay Cross and Bolsover. In readiness for the time when we become our area’s statutory commissioner of health services, we are looking for a person with the right drive, background and expertise to complete our Governing Body.
Secondary Care Specialist Doctor Member - an experienced secondary care specialist registered with the General Medical Council with current or recent hospital work. You will bring a broad based clinical perspective to the Board to complement the existing GP members.
If you’ve gained senior level expertise or Board experience in the private or public, we would be delighted to hear from you. You will also need to demonstrate a range of competencies required to contribute effectively at Board level including strategic thinking, team working and excellent communication skills.
The time commitment is likely to be approximately 2 sessions per month (3 to 4 hour sessions including reading time) and remuneration will be at £80 per hour (with some ability to negotiate depending on personal circumstances). Extra time commitment if required by the CCG will be discussed with applicants.
You must be a consultant – either currently employed, or in employment at some time in the period of 10 years ending with the date of the individual‘s appointment to the governing body
