We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Locum Consultant in Public Health/Public Health Medicine to work within the Health Intelligence Division of Public Health Wales.
The Locum Consultant in Public Health will work as part of the Public Health Wales Observatory and will undertake: Public Health intelligence work as part of the Public Health Wales Observatory; Specific responsibilities to support development of key Public Health databases and information systems.
This is an important and exciting time for the developing Public Health Wales Observatory, with increasing opportunities to support and drive the Public Health agenda in Wales, through the provision of high quality intelligence to inform Public Health action. This post has arisen to enable continuity of service pending substantive appointments in the near future.
The postholder will be managerially accountable to the Director of Health Intelligence. She/he will be expected to work closely with existing Health Intelligence Consultants and Senior Staff, as well as Directors of Public Health and Welsh Government.
Applicants must be on the General Medical Council (GMC)/General Dental Council (GDC) Specialist Register/UK Voluntary Register for Public Health Specialists, and licensed to practice.
